Denise’s 5-Cup Salad
(Ambrosia)
Like ambrosia, and not too sweet. Denise, Hairdresser To The Stars at Head Lake, says the Norland ladies serve it with the main course or as a dessert, depending on which most needs a boost. She uses any amounts of these ingredients she happens to have in the house.
A cup of grapes, halved, makes a very nice addition, and then you could call it a 6-Cup Salad.
Actually, then you could call it Ambrosia, which Mom has marked in her book as "Jill's Favourite".
1 cup pineapple chunks, drained
1 cup mandarin pieces, drained
1 cup mini-marshmallows
1 cup coconut
1 cup sour cream
Put together and chill at least an hour or two before serving.
