The Brownies
The very stuff memories are made of! You’ll smile when you think about making these with Mom at Head Lake. At the top of Mom's recipe, she wrote, "I've been making these for 55 years" and dated it 1991!
Set oven to 350°
1/2 cup butter or margarine
1 cup white sugar
1/2 cup cocoa
Cream butter and add sugar and cocoa and cream well.
2 eggs
Beat eggs, and add to above mixture.
1/2 cup flour
1/2 tsp. salt
Stir in flour and salt.
1/2 tsp. vanilla
Stir in vanilla.
Spread evenly in 9” square pan and bake for 25 to 30 minutes.
