Spinach Dip
This is the one where the dip sits inside the hollowed out loaf of rye or pumpernickel or sourdough. Been around for years and a classic favourite.
1 pkg. frozen spinach (10 oz. chopped)
1 cup sour cream
1 cup mayonnaise
1 can sliced water chestnuts, drained (optional)
1 pkg. Knorr vegetable soup mix
1 round loaf of bread
Squeeze spinach until dry. In a medium bowl, mix all rest together.
Cover and refrigerate 2 hours or longer. Cut the top off and scoop out the centre of the loaf. Pour dip mix inside. Serve with broken chunks of the bread, as well as the exterior crust, for dipping.
